Braemar Technical Services is pleased to welcome Shahrazed Metouri, Jan Pagan and Gary Murray to our Global team.
Shahrazed Metouri joins our Houston Office as a Loss Adjuster.
Prior to joining Braemar Technical Services, Shahrazed Metouri worked in R&D for Aramco Services Company supporting Production Technology. Prior to that she held a position as an Associate R&D Chemist with Halliburton, where she supported Halliburton’s Production Enhancement’s Product Service Line.
Ms. Metouri has five years of experience in the oil and gas industry working with the subsidiary of C&J Energy known as Blue Ribbon Technology, and GE Oil and Gas. She is skilled in corrosion, scale, acidizing, fresh water fluid systems, upstream products, completion tools, field support, and sustaining.
Ms. Metouri holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of St Thomas in Houston. She also holds a certificate from NACE as a Corrosion Technician. Metouri currently serves on the Young Professionals Board for the Society of Petroleum Engineers and the LPGA Amateur Golf Association Board. She is fluent in Arabic, and French.
Jan Pagan joins our London office as a Loss Adjuster.
Jan worked in the wind energy field for 4 years as an Operations and Maintenance Engineer at EDF’s onshore and offshore fleet. While at EDF, Jan was responsible for performing RCAs of structural failures for different wind turbine components such as blades, tower structure, foundations, and also helped implement NDT inspection procedures to prevent major failures from taking place.
Prior to joining EDF in 2015, Jan worked in the US aerospace industry for Pratt & Whitney where in the span of 5 years he performed structural analyses of high and low pressure gas turbine components, performed quality inspections of manufactured components and participated as a test engineer of prototype gas turbine engines during their qualification period for military and commercial applications. Jan graduated from the Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico in 2006 with a BSc in Mechanical Engineering and obtained his MSc in Renewable Energies Hybrid Systems from University of Zaragoza in 2014.
Gary Murray joins our Hong Kong Office as a Principal Surveyor.
Gary is a BEng qualified Naval Architect, Chartered Engineer and a member of the Royal Institute of Naval Architects. Beginning his career as an apprentice in a British Shipyard, Gary spent 25 years with Lloyd’s Register starting as a surveyor in their European offices. Gary latterly worked as a Lloyd’s Senior Surveyor in charge of surveyor operations out of Korea, Philippines, China and Japan for 16 years where he gained significant experience of ships in service, major ship repairs and new construction projects. Gary was also a Lead Technical Trainer of surveyors in China and is IOSH qualified. On departing Lloyd’s Register Gary spent three years as an independent Marine Consultant, with two years engaged in LNG ship new construction supervision in Korea, followed by one year of Marine Consulting and Marine Training.
